Perfect Day

One of my favorite things is being on the golf course with Trev.  I don't love golf as much as he does, but I love just being with him on the course.  It is just us and not a worry in the world. Sherwood was gorgeous as the leaves are full of bright fall colors.  Love Fall in Utah.  Love Trev. He loves Golf. It was a perfect day.

Nephew Number 2!

Dawson Levi Garrett arrived the night of September 25th!  He is perfect!

Californ[I]{A}

I have been to California before, I have even been to LA before, but this trip was a whole different experience than the first time around.  Eric, Isabel, Trev and I jumped in the car and headed to the west coast.  Eric served in the Arcadia mission so he knows the area really well.  It was really neat to visit some of his converts because they love him so much and it was amazing to see how much he changed there lives.  We first stopped at Olvera Street and got our shop on>>>

That night we had ourselves some authentic street tacos>>>

The next day was the Aggie football game VS USC.  We got some cheap family tickets online, but felt a little out of place being the only Aggie fans in a sea of red so we eventually made our way over to the Aggie section.  #Bleed Blue>>>
After the game we headed to the Beach Beach>>>

Pretty sure they were checking out the muscles at Muscle Beach
Trev was loving Venice Beach
Next stop...The PIER!!! This was an incredible end to our adventure.  Overlooking the Pier from the ferris wheel was incredible>>>

California, you treated us well. Peace out!

Blizzy Wedding 8.23.13

Eric and Isabel got married this weekend!  Everything turned out beautiful after all the commotion of decorating, cooking, and the crazy weather.  It was so fun meeting Bel's family from Florida and Brazil.  Her dad and grandma's don't speak any English so most of our communicating was through lots of hugs and smiles.  The sealing was wonderful, the weather held up for both receptions, and the bride and groom were giddy as can be.  Eric had the biggest smile all day!
We adore these two!

Wedding Party!
Flavia made a cake for both receptions!  She was amazing!
We put up with several downpours! We set up 3 times!

I love my new sister!  So happy to have her in our family!

Year Number 3!

We were so lucky to spend our 3rd year anniversary in Park City!  It was the perfect weekend!  Trev booked a couples massage for us Saturday morning. Our next stop was the Copper Bowl in Salt Lake where we had an incredible Indian lunch buffet.
From there we headed to Park City and spent the day shopping and exploring Park City.  I have never been there in the summer and didn't realize how much I would love it. That night we swam at our hotel and picked up some of our favorite snacks for dinner-cottage cheese and baked cheddar Lays :) The next morning we headed up to Park City resort and went for a little hike and rode the Coaster!!!  The Coaster takes you up the ski hill and you fly down at 40 mph with lots of twists and turns.  It was one of my favorite things I have ever done!
After that we headed down to Historic Main Street.  We window shopped and walked around the Farmer's Market.

I love spending time with my Trevy.  I can't believe we have been married three years and it just keeps getting better! We decided this picture of us describes us perfectly.  I am always loving crazy adventures and Trev goes along to make me happy, but he is always the cautious one and keeps me safe :)

Whitepine Lake...and the adventure out

One of the reasons I love Cache Valley is because of all the beautiful places you find all around you.  It always amazes me that I have lived here for so long and am still experiencing incredible new places every year.  A couple weeks ago we took our bikes to the top of Tony Grove and rode them to White Pine Lake.  It was technical and difficult but so much fun.  Trev, Blub, and my dad came along.  We got off to a late start not realizing how long the trail would take.  We got to the lake about 8:45 and knew we had to hurry out.  We chose to not climb the big hill out and go down hill toward the highway because we thought it would be quicker.  We lost daylight about a half hour into it and tried to keep riding in the dark.  My dad was the fearless leader who kept us going.  We basically tried to ride exactly where he did since we couldn't see drop offs or rocks.  My dad started hippin and hollering and I thought he saw a black bear and was terrified til I realized it was cattle.  Then I started thinking if we are riding right through a huge herd of cattle and they start running we were going to be trampled. I was so scared!  Shortly after we had to get off our bikes because it was getting too dangerous to ride.  We walked through a couple more herds of cattle and I was terrified each time!  One of them followed us for about 5 minutes and I was sure it was going to charge!  We eventually had to pull out the cell phones for the flashlights because it was such a dark night and no moon was in sight!  I know, we weren't the most prepared...  We were pushing the bikes along and had been hiking for about an hour.  We were just focused on what we could see of the trail with our little flashlight phones.  All of a sudden we heard all the bushes around us moving.  I stopped dead in my tracks and raised the flashlight and all I could see were glowing eyes all around us.  We had walked into a heard of sleeping cattle!!!  They started grunting and just stared at us.  There are few times in my life I have been so scared.  Everyone was making fun of me because apparently cows are dumb and wouldn't hurt us but I could have sworn we were going to die!  We eventually made it down and out of the canyon at about 11:45.  Each of us had about 3 voicemails because our friends were so worried that we were dead or lost somewhere.  We definitely want to ride the trail again, but will definitely start a little earlier!
