Thankful for Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving in Blackfoot this year in the Lund’s new house that they built!  It is a gorgeous house.  We decided that since we are able to see my family about every week for Sunday dinner we could spend Thanksgiving with Trev’s fam.  It’s sad that most of us don’t ponder about all the things we are thankful for until we are in the spotlight while going around the table on Thanksgiving Day.  I am most thankful for my family and friends.  Without them my life would be so boring!  They are awesome; they keep life fun and remind me how much I am loved every day.  We had a fun weekend riding horses, eating 29 cupcakes, Black Friday shopping at midnight!, and watching my favorite Christmas movie Elf.

We like to make Halloween last all month long! We kicked it off at the beginning of October by going to a haunted house. We even signed a waiver that said they could touch us. I’m quite the baby so I was pretty nervous, but shockingly enough it was Trev who was curled up in a ball calling my name while the Scream masks were coming after him. We also took a fun trip to Nevada with our Idaho friends. I went as Effie Trinket from Hunger Games and Trev was a frog. We love to dress up. It’s always good to do things to keep you young right? Conservice goes all out for Halloween. It was so much fun since this was my first Halloween on the job. They give out prizes for the best costumes which enticed some pretty creative costumes. For the last hour they have a trick or treat time where all the kids come through the office. Our CEO dressed up as a transformer; he likes to one up everyone on Halloween. Halloween night we spent with our awesome friends Chez and Niki. We had a little party with pizza and lots of treats and pumpkin carving! We had a whopping 2 trick-or-treaters!! It was a great Halloween month!

Road Trippin!!

I finally was able to see Amber play college volleyball!! She had a tournament in Colorado Springs at the Air Force Base so we decided to road trip to see her! She did so awesome I love seeing her play because she always brings such a fun energy to the court. This was also where I lived when I was 5 for three years. In between games we went to visit our old house and elementary school. I was glad to see that everything was just how I pictured it in my head. I miss Amb Bam every day so we had so much fun together. It was definitely worth the 20 hours in the car to see that girl!

We called up our best friends, packed our bags, and left on a jet plane New York City bound!  I must admit I am living a dream come true.  I have the best family, friends, and husband a girl could ask for.  I have always planned on marrying the boy of my dreams and spending a few years travelling together before the kiddos come in...I must say we are right on track.  Our adventures have really brought us so close and we've created memories that will last a lifetime!

We loved Time Square at night!
Our friends live in a cute apartment in NYC so they showed us around and let us crash at their place.  They are seriously the best hosts.  They greeted the night we landed with a table of crossants and fruit and had our mattresses all blown up!   We love them!
Famous John's Pizza!  Best pizza I have ever had!

We were lucky enough to be able to spend our 2 year anniversary in NY!! To top it off we also got tickets to go to the Yankee vs Red Sox game that ended up being exactly on our anniversary.  Trev loves the Yankees so I decided to surprise him with "Happy Anniversary Trevor Lund" on the big screen.  It was tricky to get him out of his seat during the fifth inning but it was well worth it when he saw his name up there!
His face was priceless :)

Next stop... BOSTON!!

Adam and Bree were able to take us SAILING!  Luckily Adam had his sailing merit badge :)  Boston was adorable. There is so much history and character packed into this city.  I fell in love and was sad we were only their for one day.

Last stop...Rhode Island!!
Breakers Mansion

Newport Harbor

Rhode Island was a great way to finish off our trip.  We explored the cute little town, visited the mansions, and my favorite day...BEACH DAY!! We fit the beach into two days because we loved it so much.  We had an amazing time and were so happy we could travel with our friends and visit our other friends!!

Graduation

I graduated this weekend!!!  It was a great feeling and really made me think about my days at Utah State.  As happy as I am to be done, I will miss so much about Utah State.  I have met so many incredible and influential people.  Paul Fjeldsted was my favorite teacher and seriously mentored me throughout my upper division courses. I always thought that after I graduated college I would be a genius.  Well, I am far from that, but I feel like I learned so much more than intellect.  I learned how I want to live my life in a way that I consider successful.  I was taught a lot of things from a lot of succesful people, but here are a few things that really stuck:

You will only be successful if you are continually giving of yourself and working your hardest.

Honesty is always the best policy.

Don't be afraid to be yourself and use your strengths to stand out.

And last but not least Dream BIG!!! and work hard to reach your dreams :)

Go Aggies!!!!

Spring has Sprung!

Spring brought us so many exciting events.  Luckily that crazy "winter", that decided not to snow, is over.  Even more exciting news is that tax season is over!  Trev liked it and learned a lot, but is glad to be done.  I got a "grown-up" job at Conservice and am loving it!  We made the move back to Logan and realized we really missed the place.  Blackfoot treated us well, but it is so good to be back in Cache Valley.  I sure missed seeing the temple lit up every night.  Our weekly activity has been watching Rob kill it as a pitcher for USU baseball.  He is so fun to watch.  Last week he proposed to Steph on the pitchers mound in front of the whole crowd!  It was so cute they are so excited to get married in August.  We sure love her.  We are stoked for the summer and kicked it off with a bonfire and snowcones!!! The best part of being back in Logan is being able to hang with our friends! We are already planning an eventful summer and hope to visit Shayly and Eric when they move to New York!! Its fun to see everybody grow up and venture out to the real world :)

Valentines #2

I know this sounds cliche, but I cannot believe Trev and I have been hitched for a year and a half.  A few days are long and hard, but every good day makes it all worth it...and we have lots and lots of those :)  Our second Valentines Day together was spent in good old Idaho.  We are making it tradition to stay in and cook our meal together.  In my opinion it is better than restaurant food...well, that we can afford :)

End of Year Wrap Up

Trev had a great time in Europe but we were both excited to reunite after a month apart!  The end of the year flew by with little time to blog.  Many exciting things have happened so I will do my best to catch up!
  • HALLOWEEN!! After deciding we were too old to trick-or-treat we decided to have a fun night with our friends.  We handed out treats to the cute kids that stopped by, made a huge pizza, and Trev picked out a horrible scary movie :)

  • GINGERBREAD HOUSES!! So much fun with friends! Some of our houses were two stories, some had abominable snowmen and a few just crumbled to pieces.

  • FINISHED SCHOOL!!  I decided to go out with a bang.  I pulled an all nighter studying for my last final and it definitely paid off!
  • PARK CITY!! Adam and Bre invited us for a fun weekend at their condo in Park City. We did a little hot tubbing, played some pretty intense games and went shopping.  It was tons of fun!
  • THE LIGHTS!!   This is a once-a-year must. We are lucky to live so close to Temple Square and lights are one of my favorite parts of Christmas.

  •  BACK TO BLACKFOOT!!  We had a great Christmas and were lucky enough to see both of our families for the holiday.  We spent our New Year's in Island Park at a beautiful cabin and got to go sledding!  We are currently living in Blackfoot, Idaho while Trev interns at a CPA firm.  We are excited for this new chapter in life and anxious to see where it takes us!
