{2•0•1•4}

What a year it has been! 2014 is out of here in an hour and I have just been reminiscing of the good times it brought to us:
•living in Providence where we couldn't make it up the driveway when it snowed, we had the mountains in our backyard, and lived by a bunch of wonderful successful people who are some of the best people we know
•Trev graduated with his masters in accounting
•golf season started in March and lasted to December this year and we took full advantage
•spent a lot of time mountain biking
•Angels landing and Subway hikes with my family
•went to Wicked
•met sweet Sierra or "Cece"
•road tripped to Massachusetts to help Chez move
•said goodbye to our besties :(
•Trev passed all CPA exams on first attempts
•vaca to Mexico
•announced we are pregnant!
•lived apart for the last time...hallelujah! Trev started working at PwC and I kept working at Conservice til the end of the year since I am pregnant.  So he lived with Grandma and I was with my parents
•moved to Bountiful!

We are so excited for the year to come! We can't wait to meet our little guy in February!  We joke that our New Year Resolutions are to 1) have the baby and 2) don't drop the baby. But in all seriousness we can't wait to figure out the parenting thing. We feel so blessed and feel like life doesn't get much better than this.  Trev had to work today and tomorrow doing inventory counts in Pocatello, Burley, and Boise. So, our New Years party is just the two of us on a road trip throughout Idaho and I wouldn't have it any other way. Peace out 2014!  Bring on the New Year!!!

Missing Trev

Life hasn't been too crazy lately.  My days consist of checking my pregnancy app first thing in the morning to see what baby is up to, going to work and briefly talking to Trevor at night on the phone.  He is working hard at his new job and working long hours.  He is living with Grandma Garrett in Kaysville and I am in Logan still working at Conservice.  We have an apartment set up for December and I will finish up work and move down just before Christmas.  I miss my husband!  December can't come soon enough!  We spend our weekends together so here is a little catch up of what we end up doing:
Trev got 7th row tickets to the Jazz game!  We took out recruits for PwC and went to dinner afterward!  It was a nice upgrade from our normal nose bleed seats
This last weekend Alexa was here from Maryland! We had so much fun just hanging out and playing games.  Scott ended up being called to the Stake Presidency.  It was such a cool thing that Alexa was here to experience it!
Our other main pastime is watching baby grow and feeling him kick! He moves around a ton now and we are obsessed!

Precious cargo on board!

We're pregnant! The word is finally out and I love telling people that we have a baby on the way! We found out in June. I will never forget that moment because it is so surreal and shocking and unbelievable and exciting and scary all at the same time. I peed on a stick while Trev was in the shower and in about two seconds two pink lines confirmed I was pregnant! I showed Trev and he was completely shocked! We were both filled with pure love and joy.
Pregnancy so far...
Hasn't been bad at all! The first trimester I was a little nauseous but never threw up. Food didn't sound good, but if I didn't eat I got sick so that was a battle. I had vivid dreams that were so weird! The hardest part was how tired I got! If I didn't go to bed at 9:30 I wasn't able to wake up at 7:30 to drag myself to work! We told Trevor's family at six weeks in Redfish over the 4th of July. It was early but it just seemed right to tell them there. We told my family a week later at the subway hike in zions. It was so fun announcing it and everyone was really happy for us.
Here is a pic of our first ultrasound August 4th:
The second tri has been so fun! We found out we are having a BOY! We also feel him kick and move all the time! It definitely feels more real now!
Every decision we make now the first thing we think about is baby. I couldn't be more excited to be a mom and for Trev to be a dad. He will be the best dad! I am now 22 weeks so more than half way there!

Hola Mexico!

Since Trev and I are finally having to grow up and face the real world we decided to get away and live our life of travels and bliss for one more trip.  We decided on an all inclusive to Playa del Carmen where we could just relax and enjoy being together.
Our first day and on Trev's Birthday we did a Book of Mormon tour of the Mayan Ruins at Chichen Itza.  Our tour guide, David, was incredible!  It was so cool to see places you read about in the Book of Mormon.
After Chichen Itza David also took us to a cenote! It is a natural pool that was 150 ft deep!

The next day we chilled at our gorgeous beach!

 Kayaking at our beach
Our snorkel excursion!  Trev is holding a squirmy starfish

Definitely my favorite part was swimming with the dolphins!

I wish these days could last forever!

Subway Hike

This July the family tackled the 9.5 mile hike through Zion that is called the Subway.  You have to hike, repel, and swim through pools.  Justin was our repel guide since he has a lot of rock climbing experience.  It took us 9 hours to get from top to bottom.  It was incredible and one of the coolest things I have ever done!
Just getting started on the way down

It got pretty narrow!

Our last repel

The Subway!

After we made it to the Subway we still had to hike out!  We scaled huge boulders had some swimming and the hardest part was the last 45 minutes that was straight up the side of a mountain.  It was exhausting, but we made it!  Our joy of making it to the top soon ended when I realized I lost the key to the car.  They were somewhere between where we started our 9 hour journey to where we had ended.  I was devastated!  The worst part was we all had work the next morning in Logan and we knew we were already going to get home late.  We spent two hours getting ahold of a tow company, explaining how to find us and getting the Avalon open.  The Avalon is a smart car meaning even if you jimmy the lock it won't allow you to unlock it from the inside after you clicked the lock from the outside.  We had a new plan.  We had the car guy try to get the lanyard since I took the key off and left the unlock device in the side of the door.  He hooked it and started talking to us and dropped it under the seat!  We couldn't believe it!  Then we remembered we had an extra set in the jockey box!  I put the keys Trev bought in there and stuck my purse on top.  He was able to open the jockey box, hook and move my purse, hook the key, get another jimmy device and push the unlock button.  It was  a long ride home and an early morning for work the next day, but totally worth the trip!

Birthday Fun

Trev is always so thoughtful and I look forward to my birthday every year because I know he has put so much thought into it.  This year I turned 26!!! Ahh I feel so OLD!  The morning always starts out with presents.  Then Trev took me to the Olive Garden.  Next I got a massage.  Then he surprised me to go  feed the ducks!  I used to make him do this when we dated so it brought back some great memories.  We then went to a movie with our friends Chez and Niki and finished the night at my parents for some pizza!
