My Huntsman Scholar

We had a wonderful night last Thursday at the Huntsman Scholars Banquet.  Mr. Jon M. Huntsman himself was in attendance!! (and yes we did "coincidentally" exit the same door at the same time and had the opportunity to shake his hand :)  he said "success to you both" which completely made our night perfect)  He is such an amazing person and I was impressed with how humble this millionaire was.  Trev is one of only 26 students in the Huntsman Scholar Program.  I am so proud of him and am so thankful that his dedication and drive have paid off.  I truly believe Trev can do anything he wants to because of his skills and perseverance and I will follow and support him all the way...even if that means India lol.  At the moment he is on his way to Switzerland to tour Europe and the major international corporations along the way.  This will be a long month and I will miss him a lot but I am glad he gets this opportunity. One day down 27 to go, but who's counting anyways?? Love you babe!

So long humble abode!

Our first home may have been small but it sure is full of a lot of great memories.  Spending my whole Saturday packing it up (alone because Trev left for Europe), and cleaning, my mind retraced those first experiences during our first year of marriage:
  • getting to decorate!
  • opening wedding gifts
  • figuring out how to work the oven--(there were two knobs, who woulda thought?!)
  • those mornings shoveling our cars out of the ditch
  • our first Christmas and tree and lights :)
  • FREEZING through our first winter
  • spending our weekends at the BEAV
  • watching our favorite TV series': FRIENDS, Bones, House, Office, Modern Family
  • battles with the spiders
  • trying to share our little bathroom--which is now why I have a vanity
  • trying to share closet  space was a bigger dilemma--Trev has more shoes than any girl I know
  • barbequing in our darling back yard
  • being lucky enough to have the temple just down the block, I will sure miss those nightly walks!
It has been a fabulous first home and we will surely miss it!
